VEDDAC Software Tutorials
VEDDAC 7 - Short introduction

This video is a short step-by-step guide to getting you started with VEDDAC 7. This video covers the following features:

  • Creating a new image sequence
  • Setting of measuring points with different measuring point masks
  • Starting the correlation calculation
  • Switching between different display types of the calculation results
  • Correction of rigid-body displacement
  • Representation of the local technical strain
  • Create position markers

The free trial version of VEDDAC 7 and some sample images can be downloaded here.

VEDDAC 7 - Determination of thermal expansion coefficient (CTE)

This video shows you how to quickly and easily determine the coefficient of thermal expansion of an untreated sample. This video covers the following features:

  • Starting the correlation calculation
  • Correction of rigid-body displacement
  • Reading external data
  • Switching between different display types of the calculation results
  • Creation of a temperature-strain diagram
  • Determination of the CTE value by determining a fitting curve

VEDDAC 7 - Evaluation of a hole tension sample

This video shows you how to quickly and easily create a force-displacement curve of a hole tension sample. This video covers the following features:

  • Conversion from pixels to millimeters
  • Accurate setting of two measuring point lines using the ruler
  • Starting the correlation calculation
  • Create regions
  • Correction of rigid-body displacement
  • Reading external data
  • Creation of a force-displacement diagram
  • Determination of True strain

VEDDAC 7 - Determination of large displacements by means of refresh

With the help of the “Refresh” algorithm, large displacements and strong deformations can be correlated. This video shows the difference between a VEDDAC evaluation with and without refresh.
